Our Investment in Traction Ag

Riverside Acceleration Capital (RAC) is pleased to announce our investment in Traction Ag, an Indiana-based leader in cloud-native farm accounting and management software designed for modern row-crop operations.

Farmers today face increasing operational and financial complexity. While many operators rely on tools like QuickBooks or spreadsheets, these systems were not built to handle agricultural workflows, like crop-year accounting, multi-entity structures, inventory tracking, grain contracts, or true field-level profitability. This disconnect can often create “blind spots,” making it challenging for farmers to understand whether a high-yielding field was truly profitable once inputs, labor, and capital are factored in.

Founded in 2020, Traction Ag was created to help close that gap. The platform unifies accounting, operations, and real-time field data into a single cloud system, allowing farmers to monitor expenses, map input usage, track inventory, and calculate per-acre and per-bushel profitability for any field. Traction also offers native integrations with John Deere Operations Center™ and Climate FieldView™, providing automated data flows that eliminate manual data entry of field records, saving hours of work.

Traction’s growth has accelerated through strategic acquisitions, including Granular Business, Conservis, and most recently PcMars, which together helped expand the company’s capabilities and create a powerful migration path for legacy desktop users looking to modernize.

A key differentiator for Traction is its emerging channel model with major agricultural cooperatives like GROWMARK and Keystone Cooperative, who have selected Traction as a preferred accounting solution and have partnered to integrate farm input, expense, and financing data directly into the platform. These co-op relationships help streamline implementation, improve customer retention, and provide a capital-efficient growth flywheel by meeting farmers where they already operate.

We believe Traction is well-positioned to become the financial operating system for professional row-crop farms. Their combination of agricultural expertise, SaaS leadership, and strong capital partner alignment, paired with a market increasingly driven by financial rigor, tighter credit windows, and rising input cost creates a compelling opportunity to support the long-term digital transformation of farm management.

RAC is excited to partner with the Traction team as they continue building the next generation of farm financial and operational software.
