On behalf of Riverside Acceleration Capital (RAC), I’m pleased to congratulate Christian Stein on his promotion to Senior Partner.
Christian’s promotion reflects nearly two decades of experience investing in software and technology companies, as well as the global perspective and operational insight he brings to RAC’s platform. Since joining Riverside in 2020, Christian has been a key contributor to RAC’s growth and to its ability to support founders across different markets and stages.
Christian began his investing career in 2007, working his way up to Partner at Creathor Venture before going on to start and build Coparion, a €275 million software and technology investment fund, which he co-led as Managing Director. His experience spans not only investing but also operating and advising within complex organizations.
Earlier in his career, Christian worked at large global firms including IBM and EY, and as a management consultant at The Boston Consulting Group. He also brings entrepreneurial experience from serving as a co-founder during the dot-com era, and later as CFO of a travel software start-up. This breadth of experience has certainly informed Christian’s highly pragmatic, structured approach to partnering with management teams.
Christian holds an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a BSc in Information Systems from the Cooperative State University in Mannheim. A self-described science enthusiast, he now enjoys yoga and running after stepping back from his earlier passion for martial arts.
Christian’s promotion highlights the value of leadership grounded in both investment discipline and operating experience.
